Our Leeds Personal Injury team have successfully recovered compensation for a woman injured when she slipped and fell on wet decking outside a music venue.

Our client had been attending a music event at the Defendant’s premises when she attempted to walk across the decking outside in order to leave the venue.  Unfortunately, the decking was covered in wet leaves causing our client to slip and sustain injury.

The woman suffered a fractured right wrist in the fall and required assistance with personal care and domestic chores for several weeks following the accident.  She continues to experience occasional twinges of pain and her right wrist remains weaker than it was before the accident.

Claire Newstead of our Leeds office helped the woman to claim £5,000 after arguing that the venue ought to have implemented an adequate system of warning signs to alert their clientele to the danger presented by the wet leaves on the decking.
