Irwin Mitchell have assisted a client to receive compensation after they were knocked down whilst crossing a pedestrian crossing.

Our client was crossing the road at the pedestrian crossing when the Defendant hit a fellow pedestrian and then her, knocking her to the ground.

She suffered a dislocated shoulder with nerve damage and a back injury. Following the accident our client was unable to swim or exercise, was delayed in starting a new job and developed a phobia of travelling, anxiety when driving and experienced nightmares and flashbacks. She had to undergo Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to treat these symptoms.

The Defendant admitted liability for the collision and the case was settled out of Court with our client receiving £6,500 in compensation.
