Irwin Mitchell has assisted a client to obtain compensation following an accident at work.

Mr C was working at a car showroom when he slipped on a slippery floor causing him to fracture a hip.

His injury was treated with surgery for internal fixation of the fracture and fortunately after intensive physiotherapy and hydrotherapy he went on to make a good recovery with minor residual intermittent aching.

Irwin Mitchell were able to secure an admission of liability from Mr C's employers insurers and negotiated compensation of £13,000 for his injuries.

It is important that employers ensure that surfaces of routes used by pedestrians in the workplace are kept free from substances likely to cause someone to slip.
