Our client was the spouse of the deceased. The spouse had been appointed the Executor of the Will. The estate consisted of a property, a share portfolio, a discretionary trust and several bank accounts.
An appointment was made to see the spouse and explain the process. Due to the complexities involved it was agreed that Irwin Mitchell would deal with everything and would keep the client updated on a regular basis to the process.
Due to the complexity of the case the fee was charged on a hourly basis. The client was provided with regular costs updates and progress reports. Due to the expertise contained within the firm we were able to deal with all aspects of the case in house.
This meant that the matter was dealt with quickly and efficiently minimising the cost to the client. The client knew exactly what was going on at all times and was comforted by having the opportunity to have face to face contact with the person dealing with her case of continuity of fee earner throughout.
