Committed to the community
We take our role in the community very seriously
We recognise that as leading law firm we have certain social responsibilities and embrace opportunities to ‘give something back’. This commitment takes many forms, including volunteer work in the broadest sense as well as free legal advice or pro bono, as it is commonly known.
We believe that this culture helps individual development and all employees are encouraged to take part in a wide variety of charitable activities, whether fund raising or more direct participation.
Charity foundation
Our charity foundation, '101 donations' is an independent registered charity established by the firm to give donations to charitable organisations nationwide.

Pro bono
High standards and best practice are as important for free advice as for paid advice. We are one of the first firms to sign up to the pro bono protocol endorsed by the Attorney General, whose pro bono envoy is our Senior Partner Michael Napier.
Under our firm wide pro bono scheme we provide free legal advice and representation to individuals and community groups who can not pay and where public funding is not available. Much pro bono work is delivered by support to Citizen's Advice and Law Centres where our lawyers attend regular advisory sessions. Other corporate pro bono advice is given by our commercial lawyers to charitable organisations.
The total number of hours that our lawyers currently spend working on pro bono is in excess of 5,000. Such commitment earns us a place in the Legal Business Pro Bono Survey where we’re ranked in the top 20 law firms in the country who spend the greatest number of hours working on pro bono activity.
